learning in Context

Elementary school students aren’t gearing up for AP or Regents exams. That’s why we help students engage with foreign languages in contexts that allow them to explore their languages for themselves. Though there is a place for worksheets and flashcards, we utilize activities, videos, music, and other materials that help students find the joy in learning a foreign language.

The RIght Headspace

Every student learns differently, and that is especially true for foreign languages. Students sometimes find learning a foreign language intimidating, or even tedious. We help students find approaches and habits that work for them, so that students can feel empowered to learn on their own.

More than the Classroom

We work with students to build skills for the classroom and beyond. Students can do homework and prepare for quizzes with their tutor, but they also have the option to build sessions around different kinds of vocabulary modules, grammar ideas, discussion topics, games and more. Our students don’t just learn to memorize phrases, they internalize their language for the longterm.

Conversation Partners

Students interested in devoting time specifically to speaking and listening can also work with one of our conversation partners. Located in the U.S., France, Spain, and Argentina, our partners have extensive experience working with students grades 2-6. Students can explore their language without worrying about homework, grades, and other stressors.
