Tailored Approaches
Every student finds their way into their schoolwork differently. We adjust our approaches and lesson plans to match the needs of our students, employing a variety of different exercises, habits, and activities to help students better understand the material—and better understand how they learn most effectively.
The Joy of Learning
For younger students especially, it is important that the work they do with their tutor—and for school in general—not feel like a chore. We help students find habits, methods, and frameworks that allow them to get excited about the material, and to feel motivated to engage with their schoolwork. It can’t all be fun and games, but we do our best to make sure students look forward to working with our team members.
relationships Matter
For the tutor-student relationship to succeed, students need to feel like tutors are their allies. Our team members work to build strong underlying relationships with their students. When students trust their tutors, they’re more likely to stay engaged during sessions, do their work, and respond to new activities, ideas, and approaches.
Materials Make the Difference
Though students often spend much of their time doing homework and reviewing materials from school with their tutors, our team members make use of a variety of study aids and supplemental materials to help students master key concepts in social studies and history, and do their best in assignments of all kinds.
