Science Subjects

Our tutors cover a wide range of high school science subjects, including Biology, Environmental Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. TSNY team members have strong understandings of the material in their courses. More importantly, they know how to communicate key concepts and techniques within their disciplines, so that students can more effectively master difficult material, and build habits that allow them to engage with the sciences long after their last lesson with their tutor.


Math Subjects

We cover the whole gamut of high school math courses, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 including Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Beyond assisting students with their assignments and exam preparation, our tutors help students develop frameworks and habits of mind that allow them to better understand mathematics, even when their tutors aren’t there to help them. More than excellent mathematicians, our math instructors are committed educators who work with students on their own terms, enabling them to move beyond rote memorization, and into a more profound understanding of math itself.

AP Coursework

In addition to traditional subject tutoring, we also provide support for AP Coursework and AP Exam preparation. We offer tutoring for AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1 and 2: Algebra Based, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, AP Environmental Science, AP Computer Science A, and AP Computer Science Principles.
